Working Principle

The SI5356A-B02146-GMR is based on a fractional-N synthesizer, which is a type of PLL (phase-locked loop) circuit. A PLL is a circuit composed of an oscillator feedback loop, which is used to synchronize a controlled oscillator with a reference input signal coming from an external device. As the reference signal is provided, the loop generates a signal at the output of the PLL that has the same frequency, but with a different phase.
